Getting lost in our own worlds

I bring my Fuji XT-1 with me everyday and since I was waiting for my friend, I decided to snap some shots around me. I came to realize that many people are glued to their handphones these days. Those days where we would really talk face to face is very much gone now. Even I admit that I stare at my phone much more than before because I have so many things that will keep me glued, be it my games, youtube videos, whatsapp or facebook, we are indeed losing our lives to technology. I also wanted to shoot black and white because I have a soft spot for BNW photography and there was a workshop that I missed. So this is also for my friends who went for the workshop. I’d definitely appreciate feedback on how I can improve myself.

Photos were shot using Fujifilm XT-1 and the Helios 58mm F2.

Engrossed with emotions

I stood quite near to this gentleman who was really glued to his phone. I assumed that he was watching a movie or something. I enjoy the emotion he displayed. So shoot and walk away.

Waiting for her friend

As I stood a distance from his girl, I could not help but wonder what she was engrossed about with her phone. The reflection in her glasses made me even more curious. The guy below also shared the same sentiment.

I have to give thanks to my ‘models’ because of them, I am able to capture life around me. I strongly advice all friends who want to give it a shot to go street shooting. Bring your camera out and please snap some shots. Share it on your favorite platforms and let’s see how we all can learn and improve from there.
