Upclose and personal.

I had a lot of fun carrying around my Helios 58mm F2 lens. It is not expensive yet yields beautiful bokeh pictures. Some may see the downside of it as using manual focusing, but I tell you, going manual is all about patience and also experimenting. No doubt we all get pretty frustrated when we get blurred images but with time and patience, you really get to learn a lot. This cat for example was just sitting there doing it’s own thing aka lazing under the warm afternoon sun when I came into it’s space and slowly moved forward to take this image. It was kind enough to not run away from me, instead it meow-ed and that was when I snapped away.

Sometimes, upclose and personal shots do make a difference and this image tells its own story. Don’t be afraid to get closer to your subjects, unless its life threatening of course! Enjoy the sharpness of the F2 and the lovely colors of Fujifilm.
